This is an incredible Georgian sapphire conversion ring I purchased recently from The One I Love NYC. It's a once-in-a-lifetime find, but unfortunately, it's just not for me.

The large sapphire pulls an angelic sky blue colour and it's in the original setting with gorgeous detailing. As was done in Georgian times, there is a small thin sheet of reflective foil behind the stone in the setting (re-foiled when it was converted to show off its beautiful hue).

This was done during the Georgian period in order to increase the light reflection and give pieces a unique beauty.The band has been cast from a Victorian shank to finish it off perfectly.

Size 8.25 but can be sized
