The ring is very heavy with iridescent opal glow!
To bring out the warmth of the flower design visually, 24k yellow gold would have been the most appropriate metal to use. However, pure 24k is very vulnerable to dents and scratches(which would be irrepairable damage for intricately designed ring). Therefore, 14k yellow gold would be a better option for durability. As a result, this ring was made with solid 14k and enhanced/dipped in 24k gold.
