This is a very beautiful 3 carat blue Ceylon Sapphire stone, by Michael E. It's a natural sapphire, heat only, with SI1 clarity. It's a "roval" but looks a bit more ovalish to me. My jeweler measured it in the setting. It's 8.7mm in length, 7.9mm in width, and the depth is approximate at 5.4mm deep.

It's set in a 6-prong 14K white gold, Stuller setting. The ring reads inside "14k X1", which is Stuller's white gold that does not require rhodium plating. The sapphire was set by Michael E.

It's a gorgeous ring. I've never seen anything like it, ever! Most people think it's tanzanite, since it's a lighter blue color......but a lot more durable!

I'm the second owner of this ring. The original owner said he paid around $2000. for it, and that was almost 10 years ago. I paid $1200. for it 7 years ago, so this is an excellent buy! I seldom wore it, but my jeweler stated there is some light abrading along the facet lines.

Five of the photos were taken by Michael E. I think the sapphire appears a bit lighter in color, in person. I included a photo next to my 1 carat diamond ring, with halo (for size reference).

It's currently a size 6.5

I love it, but have to sell some things to fund my dream ring!
