I was told this is an old mine cut diamond, but I'm not completely sure that's true and don't want to take it out of the setting. It's eye-clean, but under a 60x loupe, I can see it has a large crystal toward the top and what looks like carbon spots.
It's .58ct, color I, clarity I1.
The setting is platinum. It has a low profile that's wonderful because it doesn't snag on clothing.
