I purchased this garnet from Litnon/Gemline a few years back, and set it in a 14K gold head. I put a chain through the head and wore it as a slider pendant. I like the look, very sparkly, with diamond-like rainbow sparkles, but I haven't worn it in a long time. It's 7.4 mm x 4.9 mm, 1.89 carat, from Mali. Mali garnets were a huge hit on Pricescope a few years back, because of their diamond-like refraction. It's a light yellowish green, and shifts to more like a fancy yellow diamond in fluorescent light. I think a good bench jeweler can open the prongs, solder the head to a band, and you'd have a fairly simple ring. Last photo is how I used to wear it, just slid onto a chain. It doesn't flip over. Chain is Not for sale.
