This gorgeous antique Edwardian platinum filigree-link diamond necklace came from my personal collection.
It comes with a professional appraisal of $15000, which was provided by an independent GIA Graduate Gemologist.
Here are the specifics:
Center diamond: European-cut diamond, measures 7.4mmX7.4mmX4.3mm and weights 1.6 CT (by formula), I-J color, SI2 clarity (completely eye clean).
The two side diamonds each measure approx. 3.9mm and weigh 0.3CT (by formula) and are well matched with SI1-2 clarity and I-J color. All three of the main stones are bezel set with a milgrain top and are soldered together and connected to a platinum diamond and filigree-link chain. The chain has a total of ten 8pt European-cut diamonds and six 5pt European-cut diamonds, each bezel set within the filigree chain. The melee diamonds are well matched with H-J color and SI clarity. The necklace has a total diamond carat weight of approx. 3.3 CTW (by formula).
*The center diamond very very white and sparkly in real life. In my opinion, the grading by my appraiser is on the harsh side. I also had the stone informally appraised by another certified appraiser and he gave it an H color and SI-1 clarity. Also, different from many old cut diamonds from the same period, this one is extremely well cut. It has beautiful facets and picks up different colors from the environment, forming tons of fire, just like... a fireball:) More importantly, it can easily be turned into a wonderful engagement ring!
Length: 16.5"
