Here is a ring I picked up and intended to put away for my daughter. The girl is only 8 and I'm busy buying her diamonds already! I love the ring but I think I should let her pick out her first diamond so I'm going to let it go.
The center is a .61ct OMC that the paperwork (original paperwork from Fay Cullen) states is 'fancy brown yellow'. I see no yellow whatsoever. In fact, I own a GIA graded 'fancy deep orangy brown' and it appears pretty much exactly the same as that - see pic (asscher ring not included!). Set in platinum with .08ctw of single cut diamonds, G/SI1. It is a truly beautiful ring. If I wasn't such a sucker for larger diamonds, I wouldn't let it go.
One thing to let you know about, there is a small chip right next to one of the prongs - you can only see it in the right light when you tilt the ring. I couldn't even pick it up in the pics but I wanted to let you know about it. It doesn't detract from the ring at all - I can't imagine anyone not loving this piece. There is a delicacy about it but the center is so vibrant that it won't be ignored!
Paperwork states the retail value as $2,200.
Happy to work out a layaway too!
