Intense pink Mahenge spinel, 1.04 cts. Dimensions are 9.7x4.6x2.6 mm. This gem is a precision opposed bar cut, with no window. At 10X it has quite a lot of inclusions, that are also obvious in a picture at two times life size. To the eye, most of the inclusions disappear. A few are still eye visible. So the photograph is quite misleading as to the apparent clarity as viewed by your eye.

I bought this gem as a raw crystal, and cut it myself. It was quite large and flat, but with screaming intensity! I call the color screaming bubble-gum pink!
