was a popular diamond simulant in the 50's, but has mostly been forgotten now... which is a shame, because it is so pretty!
if i remember right, these stones have the same refractive index measurement as real diamonds, and the same dispersion rating as moissanite. (by all means, don't just take my word for it, research it, if it matters! all i'm trying to say is that these suckers are sparkly!)
the catch is that they're softer stones - a smidge softer than a CZ - so they're better suited to earrings, fancy dress rings and pendants than an everyday ring.
the colour of these two stones varies a bit in different lighting, from a lightest yellow to a bit more lemony in some light.
